叙利亚是中东和阿拉伯世界的重要国家,长期高举反以、反美旗帜,与伊朗结为战略同盟,与埃及、沙特、土耳其等地区大国有宿怨,致力于争夺阿拉伯世界领袖地位,在中东地区发挥着独特作用。目前的叙利亚危机构成西亚北非动荡的组成部分,并将对中东格局、力量对比、阿拉伯世界发展前景、域外大国角逐态势等产生重要影响。推翻巴沙尔政权是美国既定目标,可能实现,但叙利亚的动荡将长期化。

Syria,an important country in the Middle East and the Arab world,has been holding high the anti-Israel and anti-America banner,forged a strategic alliance with Iran,at odds with Egypt,Saudi Arabia and Turkey,the big powers in the region,committed to scrambling for the leadership in the Arab world,and plays a unique role in the Middle East region.The Syrian crisis at present constitutes a part of the West Asian and North African turmoils,which will exert an important impact on the balance of power in the Middle East,the future development of the Arab world,and the posture of the extra-regional power game in the region.It is an established goal of America to topple the Bashar regime,likely to become true,though the turmoil in Syria will perpetuate.
