摘要 对美国国立医学图书馆(NLM)在卫生信息化建设中所发挥的独特功能进行阐述,包括建立生物医学相关数据库、卫生数据标准制定、医学知识库构建、教育与培训等方面,指出医学图书馆在信息化建设进程中有其自身的优势。 The paper elaborates the unique function of National Library of Medicine （NLM） in health informatization construction, including biomedical database construction, health data standards formulation, medical knowledgebase construction, education and train-ing, etc. It points out that medical library has its own advantages in informatization construction process.
