On the Understanding of Rhubarb for Russians to China in Ming and Qing Dynasties

明清时期来华俄人非常关注大黄。其中,俄籍人士有彼特林、巴伊科夫、里香斯基、约瑟夫.里曼(Joseph Rehmann)、卡缅斯基、丁柯斯基;受雇于俄国的欧人有希腊人尼果赖、弗拉季斯拉维奇(拉古津斯基),德国人史密特、格梅林、帕拉斯,英国人柏尔,瑞典人郎喀,以及国籍模糊不清的伊台斯。他们从产地、商路、性状等诸多方面关注到大黄,在一定程度上推进了西方对大黄认识的深入。

The Russians to China in Ming ＆ Qing Dynasties paid great attention to rhubarb. Their narra- tives on rhubarb typically embodied their understanding of rhubarb. The Russians included both the original Russians and the Russian employees from other countries. They explored the native place, the trade route and features and other aspects of rhubarb, which furthered the understanding of rhubarb for the West.
