东西方文化背景不同,却暗含着解释循环规律的一致性,都注重文本整体与部分的循环理解及历史语境对文本阐释的意义。而在如何平衡解释者与作者原意的关系上,西方解释学形成无法突破的循环怪圈,以《大学》注疏为代表的中国古典解释学则以修养实践、生命体悟来解释传统,有效地实现了解释循环的突破,形成对西方解释学发展的补充,展现了中国解释学的独特之处及东西方文化的融合趋势。

The east and west have different cultural background, but in Hermeneutics, both of them do pay great attention to the circular understanding of the whole text and its component parts, and the influence of histori- cal context on text interpretation. On how to balance the relationship between the interpreter and author intention, western scholars can＇t breach hermeneutic circulation, but eastern scholars can take the tradition of moral practice and realization of life for help to settle this dilemma. This statement can be proved by the interpretation of The Great Learning. Therefore, this method is a supplement to hermeneutic, which shows the features of Chinese hermeneutic and cultural fusion.
