1895-1945年是日本殖民统治台湾的50年。这50年间,台湾音乐的反日运动主要是通过深入人心的歌曲创作和凭借其他社会组织的凝聚力量来进行的。台湾音乐运用化整为零的反日运动却是影响深远和感人肺腑的。殖民统治时期,台湾音乐堪称台岛一支反日运动的生力军,可谓是"民族之声"的一项大发展。

1895-1945 was a period of 50 years when Taiwan was under the colonial control of Japan.During the time Taiwan’s anti-Japanese movement in music produced many patriotic songs which resonated deeply in the society and strengthened the forces of resistance.The movement and its influence were long lasting and touching,making it a 'national voice'.
