摘要
大学排行榜的基本使命在于通过一定的指标设计对一定时期一定范围内的大学办学实力全面评估并排序,以此作为社会公众选择和评价大学的基本依据。因此,这就要求大学排行榜具有内在科学性、公平性和客观性的基本特征,而大学排行榜制作者的价值取向是决定其是否具备这些基本特征的关键。笔者基于价值哲学对大学排行榜终极价值取向和工具价值取向做出理解和辨析,通过对几大学排行榜价值取向的实证研究并提出基于终极价值取向重构大学排行榜价值取向。
The basic mission of the University Ranking is to have a comprehensive assessment and sort for University's education quality through some indexes, which is the basic means what be used by public to have a choice and evaluation on different University. Therefore, this requires the university Ranking has such intrinsic basic features as: Scientific, Impartiality and objectivity, and the value orientation of the University Ranking"s producer is the decisive element. This paper has an understanding and analysis on the Ultimate value orientation and Tool value orientation based on the value philosophy, and to put forward the value orientation of the University Ranking by means of the empirical research on some Rankings.
