According to the construction of the artificially digging pile at the lower structure of Shenba Bridge along Daxing-Sinan Expressway in Guizhou, the paper introduces the construction methods and construction experience for the artificially digging hole at sandy shale areas, and il- lustrates the key technology and safety guarantee measures of the artificially digging piles, so as to provide some reference for similar projects in future.
