中国学生英语语音意识加工技能的发展特点 被引量:15

Characteristics of Mandarin-Speaking Students' English Phonological Awareness Processing Development

摘要 为了考察中国学生英语语音意识加工技能的发展特点,本研究通过语音意识加工技能测试,对小学一年级至大学二年级294名学生的语音意识合并、分离、删除和分割技能水平进行了调查。结果发现:语音意识加工技能发展的快速期为小学三年级以前;语音意识加工技能中分离技能发展最快,其次为合并技能和删除技能,分割技能发展最慢;与英语母语成人水平相比,汉语为母语的学生语音意识加工技能还存在发展空间。研究表明:中国学生英语语音意识加工技能呈前期迅速增长后期平缓的发展特点,但各技能之间的发展速度存在差异。 In order to study the characteristics of mandarin-speak- ing students' English phonological processing development, this study carried out an investigation of the levels of blending, isola- tion, deletion and segmentation of phonological awareness of 294 students from grade-1 of primary schools to grade-2 of uni- versities through tests of phonological awareness processing skills. The results showed that for mandarin-speaking students, the fastest growing period of English phonological processing development is before grade-3 of primary schools;the isolating skill developed the fastest, followed by the blending skill and the deleting skill, and the segmenting skill is the slowest;compared with the levels of adults of native speakers of English, there is still room for the development of the phonological awareness processing skills for mandarin-speaking students. The study revealed that the English phonological awareness processing skills of mandarin-speaking students demonstrated the development characteristics of fast growth in the beginning but slowing down later on, but discrepancies exist in terms of development speed from one skill to another.
