商务英语学习者翻译输出中的语言失误 被引量:16

An Empirical Study on Business English Majors' Errors in English Translation

摘要 本文采用行动研究方法,探究55名高职生的翻译练习中的语言失误的特点及其成因。研究显示:翻译中语言失误主要集中在语义、句法和词法等方面,母语负迁移是其根源之一;自我修正和同伴修正有助减少语言失误;语言失误与英语水平相关联,减少语言失误需经历量变到质变的漫长过程。本研究证实了书面纠错以及师生研讨是最有效的纠错方式。 Based on the translation exercises by 55 freshmen at a vocational college, this study aims to investigate the characteristics and causes of their language errors by means of action research. The study reveals that errors occurred mainly on semantic,syntactical and lexical level, most of which perhaps result from the negative transfer of the mother language. Both self-re- vision or peer-revision contributes to the decreasing of various errors. The study also demonstrates that there is a correlation be- tween the occurrence of errors and the related students' English proficiency. Besides, students should realize that getting rid of errors in their translation is a long process, which requires per- sistent efforts on the part of the students. The study also con- firms that written corrective feedback and conference among students and teachers are the most effective ways for error cor- rection and language development.
