介绍了一种制作和生成电子海图的方法。包括纸质海图的数字化、数字海图拼接、分色、字符提取、等深线、海岸线等海图要素的矢量化；以及电子海图的重建和屏幕显示，讨论了数字海口分色和海图要素失量化等问题。
A method of creating the Electronic Chart is introduced. The paper presents the main steps of this methed,they are:the digitalizaion of the papery chart; splicing of the digital chart; color segmentation; the characters extraction ; the vectorization of the chart elements; and the reconstruction and screen display of the Electronic Chart.It also dis cusses the problems of color segmentation and chart elements vectorization.
