“东皇太一”再探

Further Study of “Donghuangtaiyi”

围绕"东皇太一"的身份学界历来争论不休,通过梳理"太一"一词含义在先秦两汉时代的变化以及"东皇"在古代典籍中的所指,论证"太一"一词在先秦时代很可能并没有"具体形象的神明"这一含义,而仅仅是一个哲学层面的概念;"东皇太一"的真正身份很可能是伏羲氏。

There has always been academic debate around the identity of ＂Donghuangtaiyi＂. Through carding the meaning of ＂taiyi＂ in Qin and Han eras and that of ＂Donghuang＂ in ancient classics, this paper demonstrates that ＂taiyi＂ is only a concept on philosophical level which does not mean a ＂specific image of god＂ in pre-Qin era. Thus it concludes the true identity of＂Donghuangtaiyi＂ is likely to be Fu Xi.
