本文通过对湖南新宁县西村坊古民居的历史现状、选址布局、民居的造型、构造、装饰特征等的实地调研，针对西村坊古民居的实际情况，分析西村坊古民居在发展保护中所存在的问题．总结出保护的内容和对策．并在保护西村坊古民居的基础上．初步探讨这一历史文脉与现代建筑的共存问题。为西村坊古民居的发展保护提供一种现实可行的方法．使西村坊古民居得到完好的保护并且在传承中发展。

This article make a research on the historical situation, location layout, design, construction, residential decoration characteristics of Xicunfang ancient village in Hunan province,in order to analyze the existing problems？in the protection of the development and summarizes the protection content and countermeasures,and make a preliminary study on the coexistence of the historical context and modern architecture on the basis of the protection. It tries to provide a possibility method to protect Xicunfang ancient village, making the village to get the perfect protection and heritage of development.
