Based on the causative structure theory,this paper analyzed ＂SHI＂ sentence＇s notional peculiarity,and came to the conclusion that ＂SHI＂ sentence＇s meaning is that a causer A inconsciently causes an automatic change C of the causee B.The causative event of ＂SHI＂ sentence is static and impersonal,because of the causer＇s unintentional act,the caused event＇s automaticity and the driving force＇s feebleness.Besides this,＂SHI＂ sentence has a written style.This research result is helpful for foreign students to learn ＂SHI＂ sentence.
