远程开放教育是伴随着现代社会经济和科学技术文化的发展,计算机技术和通信技术的迅速发展以及在教育领域的广泛使用而产生的一种新型的教育形式。它的出现改变了传统的教学模式和学习模式,是教育领域的一场革命。远程开放教育,它注重的是学习主体的特征与需要,注重的是为学习者进行的教育技术的开发和运用,注重的是学习过程和学习资源的开发和设计,是一种以学习者为中心,实现个别化学习的全新模式。实现学习者个别化学习是远程开放教育发展的趋势,研究、建立个别化学习理论对发展我国远程开放教育有着深远的意义。

Open and Distance Education, as a new type of education, comes into being with the development of economy, culture, science and technology of the modem society, the advancement of computer and communi- cation technology, and the wide use in the field of education. It brings a revolution in the field of education, changing the traditional modes of teaching and learning. Open and Distance Education has the learners them- selves as the center and aims to achieve individualized learning, focusing on the characteristics and needs of learners, focusing on the development and application of educational technology for learners, focusing on the in- vestigation and design of learning process and learning resources. Individualized learning is the trend of Open and Distance Education. Establishment of individualized learning theory has far-reaching significance to the de- velopment of Open and Distance Education. From the perspective of the meaning and the basic characteristics of the individualized learning, the thesis makes analyses on the existing problems and solutions to these problems in the individualized learning of Open and Distance Education.
