The 15^(th) Beijing Musical Festival offered three events related to opera:Britten's Noye's Fludde with excellent sets and costumes by Simon Lima Holdsworth;a revival of Jin Xiang's 1987 opera Savage Land directed by Li Liuyi with a superb cast including Yuan Chenye,Zhang Liping,Zhang Jianyi and Liang Ning;and the BMF closing concert pairing American pop singer Michael Bolton witli the Three Chinese Tenors,which culminated in the trio dancing Gangnam-style while singing 'Fengyang Flower Drum.'
