对于《罗密欧与朱丽叶》研究者有不同的观点，一直得不到统一。莎士比亚《罗密欧与朱丽叶》其实质乃是一部不同于亚里士多德定义的悲剧的命运悲剧。它不是为了表现人类是上帝的玩偶，一切都只是命运，而是符合于莎士比亚的人文主义思想，宣扬以人为本，努力追求自己的爱情，爱情可以战胜一切。通过分析文本里偶然性中表现出的必然性，可以看到该剧具有命运悲剧的品格。
For Romeo and Juliet the researchers have different views, which have never been given a unified. But the au thor believes that as a humanist, the essence of Shakespeare＇ s early play Romeo and Juliet is a destiny tragedy, which is different from the tragedy defined by Aristotle. Romeo and Juliet is not to show human is God＇ s doll and that the everything is fate, but in line with Shakespeare ＇ s humanist thoughts, to promote people-oriented, to pursue their love hard, and love can conquer all. Through the analysis of the necessity showed in the contingency, we can conclude that it is a destiny tragedy.
