西北大学的两个历史源头

Two historic origins of Northwest university

通过新发现的文献考证 ,认为西北大学有“陕源”和“京源”两个源头 ,亦即认为西北大学与始创于清光绪二十八年 (190 2 )正月的陕西大学堂和始创于十二月的京师大学堂仕学馆、政科 (北平大学法商学院前身 )为一脉相承的关系。结论指出 :“陕源”与“京源”同等重要 ,前者奠定周秦汉唐文化的底蕴和永久校址 ;后者使时断时续的“陕源”再生于抗战之中 ;二者合流造就了战时中国规模最大的大学联合体之一。

According to our research,Northwest University has two historic origins-one in Shaanxi,the other in Beijing.The Beijing source was the Shixueguan (仕学馆) and Zhengzhike (政治科) in Beijing University (京师大学堂) set up in December,1902.The conclusion is:The Shaanxi origin has became the permanent school address and formed the foundation on which the Zhou,Qin,Han and Tang Culture developed;the Beijing Origin revived the intermittent Shaanxi Origin in the war between China and Japan;the merger of the two origins brought about a largest university then.
