詹姆逊大众文化批判理论的反思

Reflection on Jameson's Mass Cultural Critical Theory

詹姆逊的大众文化批判理论,以马克思主义的经济决定论为基石,将总体性、意识形态和辩证法统一起来分析晚期资本主义的文化逻辑,为人们理解美国当下资本主义文化以及后现代社会提供了一条有效的进路。但无可否认的是,詹姆逊的大众文化批判存在着简约论和本质主义的思维局限。在中国方兴未艾的大众文化现实语境中,詹姆逊大众文化批判理论多少有些"水土不服",这充分说明理论的传播与吸纳必须经历"在地化"的过程。

Jameson＇ s mass cultural criticism, based on Marxist economic determinism, through unifying totality, ideology and dialec- tics to understand the cultural logic of late period capitalism, provides an effective means of understanding , criticizing and deconstruct- ing the contemporary capitalist culture and post-modern society. However, there is no denial that the simplism and essentialism are the thinking limitations of Jameson＇s cultural criticism theory. Under the on -going Chinese mass cultural context, Jameson＇ s mass cul- tural criticism theory, when applied to analyze the Chinese mass cultural, is not effective, to certain extent. This fully shows that the dissemination and assimilation of theory must go through the process of “localization”.
