The paper,divided into three parts,makes a profound discussion about the existentialism embodied in contemporary American Jewish literature.First,it probes into the causes of the embodiment from such angles as history,society,culture and national traits.Then,it analyses the persistent existence of perplexity and dilemma of various American Jews,which was vividly described by Soul Below and some other leading American Jewish writers.Finally,the paper points out that their description also reflects and reveals the existence problems of all the human beings,hence having general literary value as well as cosmopolitan implication.
