Androgenetic alopecia （AGA） is one of the most common causes of hair loss both in genetically susceptible women and men. Here, we review the different treatments of male and female pattern, such as medical treatment （finasteride, 13-cis-retinoic acid, flutamide, hormonotherapy, etc.）, topical treatment （minoxidil, finasteride gel, etc.）, hair transplantation and physical treatment （hyperbaric oxygen and laser）, including the progress of therapeutic mechanism, dosage and adverse reaction.
