From October 17 to November 1, 2012, Chinese Cultural Ministry organized a study tour for artistic directors of twelve prestigious music festivals from Central and Eastern European countries, including Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.These artistic directors paid visits to Shanghai, Suzhou, Guizhou and Beijing, seeing music showcases, attending forums and festivals, meeting Chinese musicians and planning cooperation projects with Chinese arts institutions.
Shanghai was the first leg of the China Music Tour by the artistic directors of Central and Eastern European countries. FromOctober 17 to 21, the artistic directors attended various events within the framework of the 14th Shanghai International Arts Festival, meeting artists and representatives from music groups and institutions of China and other Asian countries.
