The morbidity of diabetes increases rapidly worldwidely. Recent researehs have found that individuals with vitamin D deficiency are more prone to diabetes. Epidemiological studies and clinical studies find there is some association of vitamin D deficiency with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome, but the association is not consistent in the studies.
