语料库以极其简便的获取方式为外语教学与研究提供了一个无比巨大的信息库,是开展教学、研究以及开发教材及其他教学资料的源泉。本研究课题针对学术语篇特殊且容易识别的语类特征,选取国际权威语言学、应用语言学英语学术期刊TESOL Quarterly,ESP,Applied Linguistics所发表的学术论文的选题以及研究方法章节和摘要,重新切割、自建成各个小型的学术语篇语料库,并从语料的选择、分类和整理以及检索工具AntConc的使用功能各个层面描述了该专用语料库的建库步骤、环节及应用范围。

Self - established corpus with small size has obvious advantages and specialties. Academic corpus provides much more information for foreign language teaching and research and is also the source of doing research and improving the English textbooks and other relevant materials. This research offers a detailed description of the design , the basic method and steps to build up the small - sized corpus by collecting the titles, method sections and abstracts from the articles published in TESOL Quarterly, ESP, Applied Linguistics academic journals of foreign language research from 2005 to 2009. And AntConc software and its main functions of concordance and wordlist as analytical tools and the applications of the database are also discussed.
