The advantages of open pit mining grow more obvious with the rapidly developing mining technology. In light of the application practice of Zijinshan gold mine transformation process from underground mining to open pitmining, the paper summarizes the afterwards potential safety hazard and its control measures in a fairly comprehensive way. Pertinent safety management and potential safety hazard controlling measures are put forward, providing technicalguarantee for safe mining activities.
