英国近代早期物价与农村生活水平探析

Price Situation and the Living Standards of Rural Residents in Early Modern England

近代早期英国的物价状况与农村居民生活水平是一个有争议的问题。笔者认为虽然英国在近代早期经历"价格革命",但是英国农村居民生活水平有所改善,只是各个阶层改善的幅度不同而已,这也说明农村居民在享受农业经济发展的成果是不均的。本文通过概述英国近代早期物价状况,并对比英国农村居民价格革命前后的收入状况和饮食状况,来说明价格上涨并没有对英国农村居民的生活造成危害。这是因为在转型时期英国农业生产率提高,农民的收入方式多样化。

The price situation and the living standards of rural residents in early modern England an open question. I believe the view which thought the living standards of rural residents was polarizing remain in early modern England deserve debate. I believe that although in early modern times Britain experienced the so called ＂Price Revolution＂, the living standards of rural residents was improved, only different class improved different rate of living standards. It also shows that the fruits of agricultural economic development which residents enjoyed were uneven. This paper compared the rural resident income and diet before and after ＂the Price Revolution＂ to show that price inflation did not cause harm to the British rural residents, because in the British transformation period agricultural productivity was increased and the way of rural residents＇ was diversification.
