Nowadays,＂Carmen＂ is regarded as a classic in the opera.However,at the beginning of the birth,it had been criticized a lot.There was a unique,distinctive process of acceptance which reflected a phenomenon in the western music aesthetics.This article based on the ＂Carmen＂ acceptance process will analyse the phenomenon,to ponder over the ＂sluggish classic＂ during the evolution of western music history.
