法眼宗创立之原因初探

On the Cause of the Formation of the School of Fa-yan

法眼宗在中国禅宗发展史上占有重要的地位。它的兴起与发展直接与文益禅师及其门徒的传法弘道活动有紧密的关联。文益禅师提出了一系列的禅门革新措施,建立了"清凉家风",为法眼宗的形成和发展创造了条件。法眼宗的形成不仅与文益禅师独有的教学方式和禅法思想风格有关,亦与清凉院所处的自然环境与人文氛围有甚深因缘,乃是诸多因素之和合共生性产物,是江南佛教禅学长期发展的必然性结果。

The School of Fa-yan had an important influence and position in the history of Zen in China.The rise and development of it were closely related to the master of Wen-yi and his disciples.In order to propogate Zen,Wen-yi created new meditation practice methods,which were called＂ Qing Liang Jia Feng ＂（cool school style）.Zen master Wen-yi had many students to inherit his methods.In addition,the environment is also an important factor to create a sectarian.Wen-yi teached his students Buddha Dharma in The Cool House,where has a very good natural environment and the humanities environment.All these provided necessary conditions for the foundation of a new Buddhist branch.In short,it is the Zen Buddhism of the south of the Yangtze River long history of the development of inevitable result.
