在当前水稻超高产育种不断取得新的突破后,如何实现更高的水稻产量目标?作者提出了在保持现有水稻收获指数的基础上,通过逐步提升植株高度的株型发展模式来实现水稻产量不断提高的新设想。

With one after another breakthrough in super-high-yield rice breeding, how is the rice yield potential to be raised to a higher and higher level？ The author conceived a new idea of the developing model of plant types, by which rice yield would be constantly raised with the increase of plant height on the basis of current high harvest index （HI）.
