湖南省作为粮食生产大省,已经为保障国家粮食安全做出了重要的贡献。从粮食大省的粮食总产量及其占全国粮食总产量的比重以及粮食大省提供的商品粮数量及其占全国商品粮总量的比重2个指标来看,湖南省的粮食生产在全国仍然占有十分重要的地位。
