A Brief History of the Locations of National Museum of China

从1912年至今,中国国家博物馆已走过百年历程。百年来,无论是暂处国子监的狭隘屋舍,还是迁居故宫端门、午门的巍峻殿宇,再到如今屹立在天安门广场东侧的恢弘新馆,馆含的变迁不仅见证了中国国家博物馆事业发展的非凡历程,更成为中国国家博物馆成长和发展的真实写照。

Established in 1912, the National Museum of China is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Over the past century, from the small house at the Imperial College （Guozijian） to the palace buildings at Duanmen and Wumen of the Forbidden City and finally to the magnificent new building on the east side of the Tian＇ anmen Square, the changing locations of the museum tell the unusual stories of the growth of the National Museum of China.
