The Enlightenment of Cross-cultural Communication Failure on Foreign Language Teaching

随着世界全球化脚步的加快,不同国家民族间的交流也日益频繁,跨文化交际也变得不可避免。跨文化交际指两个不具有相同语言或文化背景的人之间的交流,而由此产生的误解损失或沟通障碍则称为跨文化交际失误。本文从跨文化交际失误的诸多例子出发,探讨了导致跨文化交际失误的原因以及其对外语教学和外语学习的启示,以达到最终提高学习者外语理解应用能力,促进中西方文化更顺畅交流的目的。

Cross-cultural communication,which refers to communication and interaction between people of different languages and cultural backgrounds,is becoming increasingly unavoidable with the fast development of globalization.Meanwhile,cross-cultural communication failure occurs from time to time.This paper discusses the examples and causes of cross-cultural communication failure and aims at providing improvements in foreign language teaching.
