It is universally acknowledged that age is one of the important factors of the learners＇ individual differences in foreign language learningPeople in different age stages show different characteristics of foreign language learning.This article tries to summarize and compare the characteristics of children and adults in foreign language learning through sociology,psychology,physiology and other related theories;and it puts forward different foreign language teaching strategies for children and adults in order to improve the effects of foreign language learning.
