In ＂Strange Interlude＂ O＇Neill presented us the male＇s weakness in a different way.He described the male＇s Oedipus Complex,touch of a poet and physical and spiritual weakness.And he also showed us the male＇s lack of social responsibility and family responsibility. Therefore O＇Neill questioned the male＇s authority in Patriarchal society and gave some clue for female＇s liberation and independence.
