Douglas Robinson is one of the most active and prominent translation theorists in the field of translation studies. In his famous work "The Translator's Turn", he puts forward a "somatic view" on translation which illustrates that body's reactions prevalently exist in translation process. Moreover, Robinson divides his "somatic view" into two main parts: "idiosomatic view" and "ideosomatic view".His "somatic view" on translation criticizes the unfair limitations and judgments about translators and provides powerful theoretic evidence for creative translation and translator's creativity.
