从传统哲学思想看中英文化中“心”一词的用法

传统的哲学思想与各国的文化有着内在的联系,不同的哲学思想影响着不同国家的文化。东方的思想家把"心"作为思维的器官。心为天地万物之心,无心外之物。因此在汉语中与灵魂、思维、感情有关的词和词组都与心(忄)有关。而西方哲学在其源头处与中国哲学不同。西方传统哲学认为上帝是宇宙之心。传统的西方哲学思想是建立在生理学的基础上,西方的哲学没有将"心"纳入认知的范围内,因此在英语中表示认知和表示生理上感情的反应的词是分开的。

Traditional philosophy has something to do with culture, different ideas have influenced on different cultures in the world.The original philosophers thought of ＂heart＂ as one＇s mind——＂heart＂ controlled everything, so in Chinese each word or phrase which expressed one＇s mind or one＇s feeling has a ＂heart＂ in it. However, the western philosophers didn＇t consider of ＂heart＂ as one＇s mind so in English the word ＂heart＂ expresses one＇s feeling while other words express one＇s mind.
