中国大中小学生英语学习观念认知隐喻研究

Metaphorical Conceptualizations about English Learning:Investigation of Learners' Beliefs in Chinese Elementary,Junior/Senior High Schools and Universities

摘要 本文运用隐喻分析法,以800名中国大学、高中、初中及小学学生为研究对象,对其英语学习观念的差异以及发展模式进行了研究。问卷调查结果显示,我国学生的英语学习从小学到大学依次经历"欢乐"、"转型"、"痛苦"以及"迷茫"四个阶段。各个阶段都存在不同程度的英语厌学现象。小学到初中处于转型期,需进一步做好英语学习的衔接工作。 This research is an exploration of the differences and developments of the beliefs about EFL learning among Chinese ESL learners. The participants were 800 university, senior high school, junior high school, and elementary students. Our resuits show that Chinese students' EFL-learning conceptualization witnesses four stages of development, that is, "Happiness", "Transition", "Pain" and "Confusion". EFL learning weariness is pervasive among all kinds of students. More attention should be paid to English learning problems during junior high school transition.
