歌德的文学翻译在总体上属于归化式翻译,晚年他将翻译文学视作世界文学构想的重要支柱,他对自己和他人的翻译实践作出了理论上的总结,提出了平实的散文式翻译、戏仿式翻译和对等的翻译这三种类型,其翻译思想对韦努蒂产生了启发性的影响。

Goethe＇ s literary translation is generally domesticating translation. The old Goethe regards translation as an impor- tant pillar of his concept of world literature. He summarized theoretically his own and other＇ s practices of translation, and ad- vanced simple prosaic, parodic and identifical translation. His thought in translation had influence on Lawrence Venuti.
