西北联大是抗战时期中国现代高等教育的两朵奇葩之一,它应全民抗战的现实需要,踊跃宣扬抗战爱国思想,积极灌输、培养师生以军事思想、社会责任意识,并组织师生积极投身于支持抗战的宣传、民众发动、军事技能培养、战时资源准备等方面的实际行动中去。同时,它在师生的学术研究与学养提高的领域迸发出了比以往更大的热情,作出了令人惊叹的成就。它所体现出的完整的战时教育思想及实践是当时国内高等教育战时教育思想及实践的重要组成部分。

Northwest Associated University plays an important role in the history of China＇s modern higher education during the Anti-Japanese War.Its role includes spreading the patriotic thought,training teachers and students military thought,cultivating the military skills and organizing the teachers and students in their effort to support our country to fight the Japanese invaders.At the same time,it has also achieved remarkably in academic research and talent training.The integrated education thought it embodies is an important part of the then domestic higher education thought and practice.
