[Abstract]Probability and mathematical statistics is one of the most important basic courses in independent institute. Base on the present situa- tion of the course, we analysis the characteristic of probability and mathematical statistics, the actual characteristic of the students in independent in- stitute and the target of training practical talents. There is universal significance on exploration and practice of probability and mathematical statistics in independent institute.
