摘要
提出了一种基于小波分解的视频分级编码方法 ,该方法主要是对视频对象实施小波分解 ,将其低频子带与高频子带分别作为基本层与增强层进行编码 ,以实现视频对象的空域分级、时域分级与混合分级。同时 ,根据小波图像的方向性特点 ,采用了视觉模式图像编码 (VPIC)方法 。
A wavelet based scaleable coding method is proposed to support spatial, temporal and hybrid scalability. The wavelet decomposition is employed to encode the low frequency band as base layer and high frequency band as enhancement layer. Also, the Visual Pattern Image Coding (VPIC) method, which is based on the directionality of high frequency band in wavelet image, is proposed to improve coding efficiency.
