《醒世姻缘传》塾师的生存处境

Living Condition of Teachers in Private Schools in The Marriage Stories to Awaken Men

明清时期因科举的需要,私塾教育十分兴盛。塾师作为明清小说中的特殊群体,还没有受到研究者的重视。以清西周生《醒世姻缘传》为例,通过对塾师形象及其生存处境的分析,探究从事塾师这一职业的社会底层文人的悲剧性命运及其与科举制度的关系,以期成为明清时期塾师、教育乃至社会研究的一个窗口。

Because of the needs of imperial examination in Ming and Qing Dynasty, private schools are very prosperous. Private teachers as a special group in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasty have not drawn much attention of the researcher. Taking The Marriage Stories to Awaken Men written by XI Zhousheng in Qing Dynasty as an example, the tragic fate of private teachers-people with low social status and their relationship with imperial examination are studied, in the hope of opening a door for the research of private teachers, education and society in Ming and Qing Dynasty.
