Based on construction of shield zone tunnel in Suzhou, the authors introduce technical scheme for the use of shield machine to cut piles, including construction scheme analysis, selection and transformation of shield machine, pre-strengthening of Guangji Bridge foundation. Simulationt test was performed before the cutting, and information including the test pile diameter and reinforcement, testing pile layout, data monitoring during pile testing was introduced. By transforming the cutter head and adjusting parameters of shield driving, the cutter head directly cuts the pile group foundation of existing crossing bridge. This process was introduced in detail.
