Andre Lefevere, one of the most important translation theorists of American translation studies, strongly emphasized the great impact of ideology on translation of literary works , which is an important manifestation and carrier of ideology, is undoubtedly influenced more by ideology in the process of translation. This paper, which makes a comparison and analysis of two Chinese versions of Gone with the Wind,aims to justify the specific intervention of ideology to literary translation.
