Memoria Oral de la Alhambra (Oral Memory of the Alhambra) is a social memory project of the Alhambra, Generalife and Albayz n, a World Heritage Site in Granada (Andalusia, Spain). The social memory of an internationally renowned heritage site should encompass, in a post-modern and post-colonial sense, local knowledge provided by the real 'problem owners'. To those interviewed within the project framework, the Alhambra is 'universally owned' but, above all, it belongs to the people of Granada, to whom they presuppose a love and care for the monument that makes them special.
