一般的集成电路都是印在坚硬硅晶片上,但柔软灵活的电路用途更广。在电子产品无处不在的今天.柔韧性电子设备更符合大众需求.但要找到性能优良、成本低廉的材料,却是一大难题。据物理学家组织网11月26日报道.最近,美国宾夕法尼亚大学研究人员展示了一种硒化镉纳米晶体.能被“印”或“涂”在柔软塑料上,制成多种性能优良的电子设备。相关论文发表在最近的《自然·通讯》杂志上。
Electronic circuits are typically integrated in rigid silicon wafers, but flexibility opens up a wide range of applications. In a world where electronics are becoming more pervasive, flexibility is a highly desirable trait, but finding materials with the right mix of performance and manufacturing cost remains a challenge. Now a team of researchers from the University of Pennsylvania has shown that nanoscale particles, or nanocrystals, of the semiconductorcadmium selenide can be "printed" or "coated" on flexible plastics to form high-performance electronics.
