The paper discussed the designation and implementation of knowledge managements system for large- scale scientific research institute. Firstly, the necessary of building knowledge managements system was analyzed, then, the needed char- actefisfies of knowledge management system were described. Based on above analysis, the implementation method and actual ef- fect of a knowledge management system for specific large- scale scientific research institute was illustrated.
