摘要
非裔美国作家托尼·莫里森作品中的"族裔幽默"以理性精神与怀疑态度为其内在品质,成功地再现了族裔文化的独特精神。在分析其《秀拉》文本后可以看出,"族裔幽默"不仅是该小说主导性的美学风貌,而且还显现特定族裔智慧、价值立场的审美表征。小说中含有族裔刻板形象的族裔笑话可以作为积极地定义族裔性的重要策略以消除该刻板形象,从而揭示出非裔美国文学特征与非裔美国文化特征相互呼应的内在联系,以期更好地洞察出作家对非裔美国人的处境和出路的深层探索。
With its inherent rational spirit and skeptical attitude, ethnic humor represents the unique ethnic cuhural spirit and ideas. On the analysis of Toni Morrison＇ s ＂Sula＂, this paper points out that ethnic humor is not only the dominant aesthetic style of the novel,but also the aesthetic representation of the wisdoms of African American and the relative value of their position. Ethnic jokes with stereotypes about African American in the novel can serve as an im- portant strategy for redefining ethnicity positively through undermining the negativity of the stereotypes, and thus reveals the reciprocal relationship between the features of African American literature and the characteristics of their ethnic culture in order to bring a new insight into how Toni Morrison to reveal the difficult situation of African American and offer them a satisfactory way out of that.
