Author has introduced the 3 kinds of type for storing liquid ammonia : They were pressure storage at atmospheric temperature, pressure storage at low temperature and atmospheric storage at low temperature ;has briefly described the main parameters for atmospheric liquid ammonia storage tank at low temperature and the types for venting gas of atmospheric liquid ammonia storage tank;has compared the influence of adopting different cold insulation materials on venting gas quantity ; has discussed the treating scheme for emergency venting gas of atmospheric liquid ammonia storage tank ; has proposed the investment analysis for adopting different venting gas schemes.
