Failure Mode and Effects Analysis:from Theory to Practice

目的:探讨失效模式与原因分析(FMEA)作为系统性、前瞻性风险管理技术,如何应用到管理实践。方法:系统总结FMEA的历史演进、应用过程及局限性。结果:开发出可应用于管理实践的FMEA概念框架及操作流程。结论:FMEA在应用过程中通过文献研究结合定量调查结果克服自身局限性后能更好地用于管理实践,提高病人安全水平。

Objective： To understand how to put Failure Mode and Effects Analysis （FMEA）, this commonly used systematical and prospective risk assessment approach into health care practice. Methods： With literature review, the article described and summarized the evolution, process and limitation of FMEA. Results： Developed FMEA flowchart makes hospital administrators understand FMEA deeply, and then they can put FMEA into practice. Conclusion： FMEA combined with literature review and quantitative results can enhance efficiency of potential risk management and improve patient safety.
