市场经济与民族国家:对斯大林民族形成条件理论的修正

Market Economy and Nation-state:A revision to the Stalin's theory about Conditions of Nation formation

斯大林的民族理论认为,民族(民族国家)是资本主义上升时期的产物。这一理论判断在应用到中国的历史时发生了难题,这也是中国史学上汉民族形成问题之所以产生争论的原因。解决这一难题的出路在于对斯大林民族形成条件理论作出修正。笔者在比对马克思主义创始人的论述和中西历史的基本特征之后认为,是市场经济而不是资本主义构成了民族国家形成的基础。

Stalin＇ s Nation theory maintained that nation （ nation - state） is the product of rising period of capitalism. This statement is faced difficulty whiled applied to Chinese history, and caused the controversy over the Han formation on Chinese history study. The way out of this dilemma is to revise Stalin＇ s theory about conditions of nation formation. After comparing the remarks of Marx and Engels on the nation - state and the Western and Chinese history, the author gets the conclusion that it is the market economy other than capitalism which constitutes the base of nation - state formation.
